Especially after a holiday meal or a big dinner while catching up with family and friends, I am left feeling bloated, lethargic, and gross. While everybody should indulge a little, this sluggish state leaves me wondering if it was really worth it. Luckily I have 5 tips that will leave you feeling refreshed, bloat-free, and stress-free.

1One of my favorite morning moments is when I get to sit down and have my cup of hot water and lemon. I like to squeeze half of a lemon (or a full lemon if it is small) into hot water. After this refreshing drink, I always feel invigorated & hydrated and cannot start my mornings without it. After a day of having an excessive amount of sugar, salt, or fat, my lemon water always leaves me feeling de-bloated by mid-morning. I like to have hot lemon water every morning before breakfast to jump-start my system or if I know I am about to have an extreme cheat meal, I like to have a cup immediately before eating. There are so many benefits of this detox tip that I would feel silly not partaking. Lemon aids in digestion, acts as a blood purifier, and cleanses the body.
